I am now an Angel waiting at the Bridge

I am now an Angel waiting at the bridge for mom and dad and my friends to turn up. I met several friends here: Tequila, Harry, Bonnie, Friday's Boy, the pup with no name, and a few more. I also met a dog called Happy who is a friend of a friend and is showing me around with the others. I heard Mom say I died around 7am this morning with a heart attack. She was cuddling me and kissing my nose like she always did when I started my journey. I was glad I said Goodbye like that. I don't know if I am going to continue narrating the blog for Mom yet. I think it may upset her to write my words regularly. It will be too painful for her. We will see. I can see her crying and wish she wouldn't. joey also looks puzzled about where I am. He is very quiet and we won't be able to play for a while.

Marooned by Mud

Mom says we live in a swamp. She is well fed up. She is cold and tired of the defective plumbing that shoots black smelly water up the drains and into the shower. She is also tired of the lack of hot water in the kitchen and her hands go numb every time she washes the dishes. The floor has water rising up because the house has no foundations and the badly fitted windows have huge draughts as the temp hits the 40's at night. The dogs beds on the floor in the bedroom are wet underneath and the car cannot climb the mud hill to get out and get supplies. She is having a real bad day. There are bills to pay and no money to pay them and apart from that she says everything is fine. She worries about us constantly and wishes we could all leave here because the climate is awful. She says she is coder than she ever was in England. Only a miracle can help us all get out of here. At least that what she said.  She seems rather stressed. We are all praying things get better here. We miss our old life before the disaster. Things were okay then.

Dad saw a dog that looked bad!

Today Dad saw a dog that didn't look in very good shape. They have been checking the local dogs but this one was ten miles from home. He was in a busy area and Dad double parked to get ut and see him. he goot out and people started hinking their horns and shouting and swearing at him. So he had to go and look for a proper parking spot. When he got back to where the dog was he had gone, Now Mom is all upset and worried and wants to go and look for him tomorrow.

It's Mother's Day Tomorrow Here.

Well! tomorrow it will be Mother's Day and we are all thinking of what we can do for our Mom. We have had several suggestions. Joey thinks we should all nibble her ears and for some reason he thinks she will like that. Freddy thinks we should all lick her nose. Pebbles suggested an extra nuzzle and Tasha suggested a special howling session. We haven't decided yet. Mom said she wants to win the lottery, but we can't get out to buy the tickets and even if we could she doesn't give us pocket money. We also don't understand the system of human numbers. We just count by saying one more or we haven't one. It's a lot simpler. Humans are very complicated. Since my last blog Mom and Dad have finished one more dog house for Sam, Trooper and Panda's kennel. Mom says there are quite a few more to make. Don't ask me how many because I can't count.

Here is Trooper enjoying his new house. It is very cold for us to sleep outside here without houses like this to keep the wind and rain away.

This is the house before Mom and Dad put it in the kennel.

Trooper was so pleased.

Sam checked it out. She needs her own house as well.

As you can see it rains a lot here and Mom and Dad have had problems getting out and back due to the car slipping in the mud. They need something called a four wheel drive because the road to town is a dirt or mud track and it's difficult and dnagerous to drive on in this weather. it rains almost everyday here. That's why they call it the Atlantic Rain Forest I guess.  Guga is much better after he frightened the life out of mom who thought he was dying. He is enjoying a spot of sunshine here.

Here is Gracie. She wanted to say hello to everyone!

Then Pluto had to do it too!

Mom and Dad found a colony of Feral cats living right near the rubbish skip and gave them some food. There are quite a few of them.

Mom and Dad gave them some of our food. They seem to like it better than the contents of the rubbish tip.

Mom and da have been trying to feed some of the thinner street dogs, but it's difficult because we don't have much in the way of spare food here.

They are trying to feed this dog because he is thin. He is drinking rain water here. Mom says she would take him in a second if the circumstances improve here. We still don't have the perimeter fence and there are many dog houses to finish and neuter four dogs here. So, it's difficult for her to rescue any more at the moment unless things improve.

Guga

Guga has been ill and Mom and Dad had to rush him to the vets yesterday. It turned out he has cystitis again and renal pain. He has pain killers now and medication and thankfully seems to be getting better. he was so il he didn't want to eat which surprised us all. he is normally a glutton and steals everyone's food. Mom is still down about the set up here and how difficult everything is without the perimeter fence. Dad has been taking pictures of local street dogs so mom and dad can follow their well being. There are a few around most seem to look in reasonable shape. This one was sleeping and woke up just as the camera went off.

This one someone is feeding an gave him/her a bed

This one mom and dad have seen everyday for four days.

This one looked thin but some kind soul had left a huge bowl of rice and beans for him.

This one mom and dad have seen twice more in the same area

He has a friend

This one is being fed by taxi drivers.

The black dog on another day

This is the same one the taxi drivers are feeding

This one looks too thin and may need help soon.

These two seem okay and are obviously getting food from somewhere.

Lastly I am going to post a picture of Guga hust before he got ill.

and another

These two are best friends and they have secrets.
